How to Play Baccarat
In Baccarat Cards are dealt from a 'shoe' that holds 6 to 8 decks of cards. Both the dealer and the player each get dealt 2 cards but no more then 3 cards. Bets are made before the cards are dealt, the player bets on the hand he thinks will be the winning hand (closest to 9) or if the two hands will be a tie. Once bets are made they can't be changed.
How Scoring Works
The score of each hand is the last digit of the sum of the card values in the hand. For example if a hand with a 5 and a 9 dealt it would have a score of 4 (since 5 + 9 = 14). This is because Tens and Face cards always count as zero – only the last digit counts, 10 has a value of zero. The scores will always range from 0 to 9 and it is virtually impossible to bust.
Objective
Baccarat is a card game played with a deck of 52 cards, Jokers are not used. Two hands are dealt in Baccarat, one hand is dealt to the player and the other to the dealer. The aim of the game is for the player to bet on which hand he thinks will be the closest to 9, his hand or the dealers hand. The player can also bet on a tie ( this is when the players hand and the dealers hand are equal).
